‘India Had a Donald Trump in the Form of Narendra Modi’, Jibes Rahul Gandhi

Taking a jab at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the vice-president of opposition party Congress Rahul Gandhi allegedly said that the US lately got Donald Trump in the place but India had a “Trump” as Modi past two-and-a-half years ago.

While speaking to an election assembly at Polytechnic Ground at Khurja town the last afternoon, he also brought up the issue of demonetization, saying that all segments of the populace of the society had to undergo losses due to this move.

According to reports, this is what he said,
The United States of America had recently Donald Trump in the seat but India had a Trump in the form of Modi two-and-a- half years earlier.

He further went on to claim that farmers were not capable of paying money for fertilizers, seeds for potato sowing owing to demonetization, he alleged that a lot of people died after waiting in the long queues in the quest to get their currency notes exchanged.

but the government at the Centre never bothered to make any exgratia payment to the sufferer.

The Congress head believed that to promote artisan and small scale producers of the bits and pieces made in any city of India should be having the name of that city.

Giving instance to his point, he said, earthenware items finished by Khurja potteries should take the mark ‘Made in Khurja’ as a replacement for ‘Made in India.’
